An Overview of MBA Program
The Department of Business Administration under the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship (FBE) at DIU offers the world’s best known and most widely recognized MBA degree in the field of business for the students willing to serve in different organizations at executive, managerial, and administrative positions. MBA is one of the most sought degrees after graduation in the world because of its value to people in business and administration. The goal of the program is to produce quality graduates who are competent enough to meet the contemporary and emerging needs of business enterprises and societies, and provide the nation with knowledgeable and skilled managers who are able to meet the changing needs of 4th industrial revolution in the business environment today and days to come.
The MBA program of DIU involves rigorous teaching, field-works, industry attachment, reports, presentation and teams projects, all of which give students the necessary abilities to handle real-life business situations. This helps set them apart from those who do not have such expertise and can make them leaders in their chosen fields.

Students having graduation degree from any discipline are allowed to apply for admission to MBA program. For admission to MBA program a student must satisfy the following requirements:
- Students having minimum 2.5 GPA or 2nd division both in SSC/Dakhil/Vocational and HSC/Alim/BA/Diploma In Commerce/Diploma in Business Studies and 3 or 4 years graduation from any group may apply for admission.
- Students completing five O-level subjects and at least two A-level subjects may apply. Out of these 7 subjects applicants must have minimum 4 “B” grade 3 “C” grade and 3 or 4 years graduation from any group may apply for admission.
- For MBA (Executive), an applicant must have minimum 3 years job experience in executive level after graduation.

Scholarships and Waiver Opportunities
DIU provides meritorious and poor students with financial aid. Every year 25% poor and meritorious students of the total students receive 10% to 100% financial aid. It is remarkable that more than 2,000 students of the university avail themselves of the waiver and scholarship facilities. Scholarships are provided in four categories.
i. Daffodil International University Scholarship
ii. Lutfar Rahman Scholarship
iii. Razia Begum Scholarship
iv. Akij Group Scholarship
To enjoy scholarship and tuition fee waiver, students of MBA program must take at least 09 credits. Students who will apply for a tuition fee waiver in other different quotas (Need-based quota, Freedom Fighters quota, Tribal quota, DIC students quota, Sports quota, 1st batch quota, etc.) should maintain a minimum GPA 3.00 (4) in each semester. Among the students, each of the husband and wife, two brothers, brother & sister and two sisters of the same parent will get a waiver of 20% of their tuition fee. For continuation, they will have to maintain a GPA of 3.00. The benefit will be withdrawn if any of the two drops from the program. The students who are already enjoying waiver benefit in any category should not apply for further waiver benefit. Newly admitted students can apply for waiver benefit under Need-based category through the Prescribed Financial Aid Form after completion of at least one semester. Waiver benefit is applicable only for tuition fee and not applicable for Admission fee, Semester fee, Library fee, Lab fee, Extra-Curricular activities fee, Improvement, Retake, Project/Dissertation/Internship, etc.
DIU offers the tuition fee waiver for the students on the basis of results in Graduation or equivalent including the fourth subject in the following categories.

This is a 60-credit MBA program and a regular student has to complete 60 credits to earn an MBA degree. However, a student may get waiver of some courses depending upon his/her results at Bachelor and/ Master levels and managerial/professional experience. The minimum credit requirements for an MBA degree is 39 credits.
Only the students having adequate professional experience and outstanding academic records will be allowed to earn an Executive MBA degree. The total credit requirements for a particular student and the courses s/he needs to take will be evaluated and determined by the academic advisor(s) of the program or the Dean of the Faculty based on his/her results at Bachelor and/ Master levels and managerial experience. It is to note that students doing MBA major in Textile & Apparel Management & Merchandising will complete 66 credits. They have to take 7 major courses instead of 5.
